“Living” Albums in city of Dnipro as a Social Enterprise
A unique social enterprise based at the Dnipro Youth Center that produces school graduation photo albums.
The main service of the project is the production of “live” photo albums using augmented reality, which will make the photos in the album “come to life.” Additionally, the photo shoots will develop teamwork skills among young people through team-building exercises conducted by the youth center staff.

The Dnipro Youth Center took part in the project with the idea of creating ‘living’ graduation albums that ‘tell’ the stories of people. For this, they use augmented reality (AR) technologies. Through special QR codes, these albums preserve not only photos but also videos and emotions. Even years later, they can be viewed with an ordinary smartphone.

StoryBook is not just photo books, but albums with augmented reality: you point a smartphone — and the photo comes to life in the form of a video. We combined modern technology, a creative approach, and a social mission. 20% of the revenue from each album goes to creating youth spaces. Thus, each of our products benefits both individuals and society as a whole. This is a project that brings technology, inspiration, and support to the young generation.
We decided to create StoryBook in response to a real need — to make the Dnipro Youth Center financially self-sufficient and create more spaces for youth in our city. Social entrepreneurship became our way to combine the useful with the profitable: to earn by helping young people. Thanks to the project, we managed to launch an initiative that not only preserves memories but also supports the development of youth spaces.
Modern albums for bright stories!
The photo shoots for creating the ‘living’ albums are held in modern locations that help reveal the character of the class and tell their story through modern technologies. These graduation albums are intended to become a bright alternative to traditional ‘vignettes’, which many graduates consider outdated. The project is already actively implemented, with the team having established cooperation with dozens of schools and having ‘brought to life’ more than 180 albums.
Profit for the development of youth ideas!
The social component of this enterprise involves directing part of the profit to support educational, creative, and social projects for young people, in particular the development of spaces for school self-government. As The Dnipro Youth Center team researched, there is significant demand in the city for such spaces for school youth. To promote the idea of social entrepreneurship, the youth center also holds motivational meetings with successful entrepreneurs, where young people can learn how to develop their own business.
