How to help Lviv residents consume quality water
A public water quality laboratory based on the Lviv Open Lab youth space in Lviv.
The main service is to determine the quality of drinking water by 15 quality indicators. The full analysis will take 2 business days, after which customers will be provided with the results and advice. Not only residents of Lviv, but also other cities can use the services of the laboratory (provided that the water sample is properly collected and packaged).

Lviv Open Lab is a modern youth STEAM-education space
Its team creates opportunities in Lviv for young people to express themselves through science, which includes S – science, T – technology, E – engineering, M – mathematics. The space already hosts scientific laboratories, a woodworking workshop, and a volunteer center.
“Aqua Check”
Social laboratory of water quality
Thanks to participation in the project, a new component was added — the Aqua Check water quality testing laboratory, which will operate in the format of a social enterprise. This laboratory not only allows Lviv residents to test the quality of their water but also promotes science and environmental awareness in society.

We provide services for determining the quality of drinking water based on 15 indicators. The process takes 2 days, after which we can provide the analysis results and additional consultation. We work not only with clients from Lviv but also from other cities.
We help people better understand their own health based on the water they consume, and also hold events so that people pay more attention to this aspect.
Water test available
The main idea of the Aqua Check social enterprise is to make water testing accessible to everyone, raise public awareness about the quality of water supply, and change the culture of natural resource consumption. The social aspect of the laboratory’s work includes free water testing for eco-activists, workshops for vulnerable groups of the population, and practical training for students.
“Lviv Open Lab” — science for the community
To expand its impact, Lviv Open Lab actively cooperates with educational institutions, businesses, and eco-activists. The laboratory plans to conduct more than 500 water analyses and over 50 educational events, helping Lviv residents better understand the quality of the water they consume.
Investments in science and youth in Lviv
The profits are directed towards the development of new educational programs, support for youth initiatives, and improvement of the scientific space. In the future, the team plans to increase the number of available analyses, attract new partners, and expand its laboratory base so that even more people have the opportunity to access quality knowledge and environmental research.
